Athletics Direct was recently awarded the contract to supply the athletics equipment to the newly refurbished Woodbourn Road Stadium in Sheffield. With the closure of Don Valley Stadium, hundreds of thousands of pounds were invested in upgrading the facility to ensure it meets the standards of the elite athletes that will be training there.
With this in mind, Athletics Direct worked alongside the University to ensure the right calibre of equipment was supplied. This included 2x Cantabrian International Pole Vault Mats, 2x Cantabrian International High Jump Mats, Wheel Away Covers as well as a full range of other athletics equipment.
The stadium will be renamed Sheffield Hallam University City Athletics Stadium and will play host to the University, City of Sheffield Athletics Club and Hallamshire Harriers.
